Our Guest Minister for November 2 is Rev. Sally Wooten Queen, a United Methodist pastor who currently serves as the District Superintendent of the Catawba Valley District in Western North Carolina. She has served as the Associate Pastor at Aldersgate in Shelby, the Pastor at Abernethy Memorial in Rutherford College, the Associate Director of Ministerial Services for the Western North Carolina Annual Conference, and most recently as the Senior Pastor of Myers Memorial in Gastonia.
Rev. Queen was raised in Cullowhee, North Carolina and thus has a deep love for the mountains. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Kevin, who serves as the Director of Student Services for York County Schools in South Carolina. They have 3 daughters: twins, Ella and Mattie andKate.
Rev. Queen holds a BS in Biology from Meredith College and a MDIV from Duke University.
The family has spent many Spring Breaks and Thanksgiving Breaks at Holden Beach.
