Our guest minister for August 8th is Dr. Mike Garrett. Dr. Garrett graduated from Union Theological Seminary in Virginia with a Master of Divinity degree. He attended Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia and received the Doctor of Ministry degree in 2002. He has served in parish ministry in Virginia, Atlanta, Georgia, and Denver, Colorado. In July 2015, Dr. Garrett started as Interim Associate Pastor at First Presbyterian Church, Fayetteville, North Carolina, and in April of 2017 the same congregation asked him to serve as Senior Pastor. He is married to Marcia, and together they have two children, Tricia and Baxter. Dr. Garrett enjoys fishing, reading, spareribs, and hanging out at the beach with his family.
