Dr. Harold Custer - United Methodist

Our guest minister for January 24th is Dr. Harold Custer, from Nicholasville, Kentucky.  Dr. Custer received the call to full-time ministry while singing with the Chautauqua Opera Association in Chautauqua, New York. He began his ministry in West Virginia with the United Methodist Church. He then worked several years with the Church of the Nazarene in Florida, Ohio and West Virginia; working the last seven years of his full-time ministry at St. Andrews United Methodist church in Winter Park, FL. He retired after 44 years of full-time pastoral ministry in those three states.  Dr. Custer has served on various Ministerial Boards and led mission trips to Belize and Central America. He also participated in a mission trip to Belo Horizonte, Brazil, with the pastors in the WV North district.

Dr. Custer is married to Kay and they have two grown sons, Nathan and Wesley. He has been a Guest Minister for Holden Beach Chapel for 33 years.
