Our Guest Minister for May 26 is the Rev. Dr. Roger Elliott, a retired United Methodist minister who resides in New Bern, NC. He and his wife, Jackie, graduated from Tabor City High School. Dr. Elliott continued his education at Campbell University, Duke Divinity School, and Drew Theological Seminary. He has served churches in Roanoke Rapids, Durham, Fayetteville, and New Bern. He has also served as a District Superintendent for six years and he concluded his active ministry as Sr. Pastor of Edenton Street, UMC (1995-2008) in Raleigh.
Dr. and Mrs. Elliott have two daughters and four grandchildren. In retirement they have enjoyed family time, golf, reading and travel.
