Our Guest Minister for February 12 is Dr. Sam Currin. Dr. Currin entered the ministry after a career in law and public service. He is an honors graduate of Wake Forest University and UNC School of Law and served as United States Attorney and Superior Court Judge. During the 1980s, he prosecuted dozens of drug conspiracy cases in Brunswick County which had become known as the "drug gateway" to North Carolina.
Dr. Currin also holds degrees from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest. He obtained a Masters in Ethics, Theology and Culture and a doctorate in Christian Education (Ed.D).
He resides with his wife, Margaret, in Raleigh and they are members of Hayes Barton Baptist Church. Margaret is a retired law professor and associate dean of the Campbell University Law School.
