Our Guest Minister for October 9th, is Rev. Nancy Ross-Zimmerman. Rev. Ross-Zimmerman served churches as a musician for the first half of her life. She met and married her college sweetheart in the Chapel of their school, Westminster Choir college in Princeton, New Jersey. She and her first husband, Jeff Ross, served as church musicians in Ohio, Virginia and Maryland before landing in Houston, Texas, in 1984.
After the sudden death of her husband in 1989, Rev. Ross-Zimmerman eventually moved back to her hometown of Cincinnati, met, and married a widower, Craig Zimmerman, in 1995, and together raised their blended bunch of lively children, Rob, Jessica and Ashley.
Rev. Ross-Zimmerman is a graduate of Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary and served two congregations in her 22 years as an ordained minister: Northminster Presbyterian in Cincinnati and Lakeside Presbyterian in Northern Kentucky. She officially retired on July 1, 2022.
She came to love the beach after marrying into the Ross family and vacationing with them each summer at one of the beautiful North Carolina beaches. She is grateful for her sister-in-law, Nancy Ross Edwards, who sings in the choir at the Chapel.
