Our Guest Minister for September 3 is Rev. Danny Leonard. Rev. Leonard is the Senior Minister of Memorial United Methodist Church in Thomasville, NC where he has served for 5 years. He has served churches across Western North Carolina for 33 years.
Rev. Leonard holds a Bachelor's Degree from High Point University and a Masters from Duke University.
Rev. Leonard states that Chaplaincy is an important part of his ministry. For the past 30 years he has worked with law enforcement officers and other emergency responders. Chaplaincy roles include being the Chaplaincy Program Coordinator for the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, U. S. National Disaster Medical System and serving as the Director and co-founder of the North Carolina Law Enforcement Assistance Program, a non-profit that works with officers who have experienced significant critical incidents in the line of duty.
He is married to Angela, a high school math teacher, and they have two adult children.
